The Liberty Red Holly (ilex cronada ‘liberty’) is a broad leafed medium growing, upright, evergreen shrub. A cross between "Mary Nell' and 'Red Delight' holly. With dark green, serrated leaves on dark stems, white flowers produce in the early spring (April-May). Fall brings clusters of red berries to decorate the foliage. Adapts well in hotter areas, naturally pyramidal form.
Uses: Liberty is a good choice as a specimen, as a backdrop to a mixed border, or as a screen. Space 5-6' for dense hedges; 10-12' or for breaks between plants
